Anything Goes Tournament
On Saturday August 15, Fairway Ladies (FWL) held our annual Anything Goes Golf Tournament and Charity Event. FWLs invite anyone with a USGA Handicap to play as their partner in two person teams. This year we had 21 teams–including husbands, adult children, friends and fellow FWLs–competing on a gorgeous summer day.
Using Stableford scoring, the following prizes were awarded:
First low gross: Amy Carlson and Hannah Blonder ($75)
Second low gross: Sue Peters and Sandy McLaughlin ($60)
First low net: Denise Delorey and Rachel Camper ($75)
Second low net: Debra Watson and Faye Slayton ($60)
Third low net: Pat and Sal Ghannam ($50)
Fourth low net tie: split between Ty Tyander and Laura Haapanan ($20) and Kate Brown and Elizabeth Moran ($20)
Closest to the Pin, women: Denise Delorey (#8, $15) Gloria Spitalny (#13, $15).
Closest to the Pin, men (#4 and #15) : No winners, the $30 in prize money was donated to charity.
